Review for 1995 Yukon

Date: September 30, 2025Written by: Darrel SiloFrom: Pender Island, British Columbia, Canada

What a day it was! We awoke to get ready and catch the ferry at 7:15am so that we could attend our daughter's equestrian competition at Thunderbird Show Park. As we started out I looked down and there in the dash was the red battery light glowing brightly! We carried on and it did go out but after driving through to Langley it came on again! What to do now? We explored a dealership and a parts supply with no luck but the our luck changed as we spotted Andersen A-1 Autohaus on 200th Street. We pulled into the lot and were met by Patrick one of the mechanics and felt our luck start to change as he directed us to the office where Melanie took charge of the situation and got us into a bay quickly where the alternator was diagnosed as faulty. Melanie's next move was to locate and order the new alternator, place the Yukon's battery on charge and provide us with a courtesy car so that we were able to get to Thunderbird in time to watch our daughter ride in her competition. When we returned our repair was complete and we were charged a fair price for the work done. Our Yukon, while old in years, is in collector condition and has been very reliable for the 300,000 km now on the odometer! The weekend turned out to be successful in many ways and the forecast rain never occurred! We are very grateful that we had the good fortune to find Andersen A-1 Autohaus and especially Melanie who took such wonderful care of us and our Yukon. What could have been a disaster weekend turned out so well! Thank you once again, Darrel, Nancy!
