2013 Subaru BRZ entire clutch system and assembly replacing
This customer came in with their 2013 Subaru BRZ due to a concern of when starting off in first gear it was creating a loud screeching and the clutch pedal would not fully return. We discovered the clutch to be heavily worn as well as the throw out bearing to have failed which was then being hung up by the clutch fork causing that high pitch squeal. We replaced the clutch assembly as well as the throw out bearing, retainer clip and clutch fork. We then machined the flywheel and reinstalled. The vehicle now drives as normal.

Our customer reported that this 2.5L naturally aspirated Boxster engine was losing coolant, overheating, steaming and loss of power. Our diagnostics showed that it had breached/blown head gaskets. We ended up removing and rebuilding the entire engine. Rebuilt the heads as well. Installed new multi layer steel head gaskets (the Subaru issue is the head gaskets are single ply composite gaskets and that is why they are so weak). We then installed a whole new clutch assembly (flywheel, clutch kit, bearing, fork etc.) as well as hydraulic system. We serviced the timing belt and the water pump as well as replacing the front and rear main/crankshaft seals. The vehicle is back on the road, running as good as new!
